Breakfast and Lunch Ideas
What do you eat for breakfast and lunch? I get this question most of all. So I thought that I would start a list of different things that I eat. I know that I will be adding to this constantly. You know me, always needing change and variety.
Note: These are just ideas to use as building blocks. Depending on your daily point allowance, you can add more fruits & veggies to eat meal. If I tried to list every combination I would never get them all written down.
Breakfast
- 1 point yogurt with 1/2 c. of Kashi Go Lean Crunch or Fiber One Caramel Delight cereal mixed in
- 2 pieces of light bread (1 pt) toasted with PB2 and sugar free jelly with a piece of fruit
- smoothies (see recipes for several different ones) pumpkin, pineapple, chocolate PB2 etc. are some of my favorites
- steel cut oatmeal (see recipes for different versions)
- 1/2 c. eggbeaters scrambled with 1pt bagel, & 2% Kraft Single (see food reviews very bottom)
- zucchini, onion & green peppers sauted in 1 t. of healthy oil then 1/2 c. eggbeater poured on top and cooked
- whole grain waffles (no syrup: my choice/don’t care for it) and PB2 spread on it with some fruit
- Weight Control Oatmeal (don’t eat as much since I found steel cut oats)
- 1/2 c. eggbeaters scrambled with 1/4 c. 2% shredded cheese
- cinnamon cream cheese bagel "creation" (see recipes)
- Chocolate Peanut Butter Steel Cut Oatmeal (see recipes)
Lunch
- Supper Leftovers
- Spicy Black Bean Burger on a 1 pt bagel or 1 pt English muffin with mustard, pickles, lettuce & tomato
- Lean Cuisine or WW Smart One frozen meals (do not eat starting two days before weigh in because of high sodium)
- Taco Soup (frozen in lunch portions) see recipes
- smoothies
- Taste of Summer Salad
- salads (I eat more just "regular" salads when it isn’t cold out)
- lean turkey sandwich on 1 pt bread, bagel or bun with lettuce tomato etc
- 1 point yogurt with fruit
- roasted eggplant, zucchini, & onions drizzled with 1 tsp of healthy oil
- broccoli slaw salad (one of my favorites)
- Ballpark Smoked Turkey Dog with veggies on the side
- baked potato with Green Giants’ for one Broccoli & Cheese Sauce
- South Beach Sesame Chicken Wrap Sandwich Kit
- MorningStar Corn Dogs
