Give Away from Special K & Me
Filed under Day to Day, contests by kristen at 2:42 pm on Feb 03 2010
Recently I was contacted byKellogg. Kellogg had invited me to “attend” the “Raising the Grade on Fiber” webinar that they hosted. .
They sent me a link to an exclusive, behind-the-scenes video (This is a really great video!) of the six Special K women on the set of their advertising shoot, where they share what inspires them, their best piece of advice to real women just like them, and more.
Kellogg has offered a give away to my readers. All you need to do is watch the video and post (in the comments of this post) what woman you can relate to the most and why. I will draw one winner and Kellogg will mail you the prize. (US residents only & no PO Box addresses. Sorry)
I really relate to most everything all of the women said in the video. Jacquelyn really hit some points for me. As a mother of two girls, I am definitely aware of my eating habits, self esteem, & general perception of myself. I do not want to pass on the bad habits that I have displayed in the past.
So take a few minutes and watch the video. Which woman do you relate most to and why? Post your answer in the comments. I will take comments for the drawing until Sunday, February 7th at 11:59pm. The prize will consist of Special K Fruit Crisps & Special K Low Fat Granola. (Be on the lookout for reviews on both products coming soon)
Thanks Kellogg for this great give away!

OK… that was easy: Courtney. I liked what she had to say about feeling freedom when she had lost weight, and how wonderful it was to have balance in her life.

Mary, she seemed relaxed and confident. Don’t sweat the small stuff
attitude.

Definately Kristi! everything she said, it was like listening to myself talk!

I’d say Jacquelyn for me. My Mom set horrible food examples for me and I was never encouraged to be an active child. I am trying to make it a priority to set a healthier example for my son, just like Jacquelyn is.

The woman that resinated the most to me would have to be Courtney. Making the decision to change your entire self-image by committing to eating differently, exercising, etc is a huge accomplishment and when someone notices by asking/commenting on my weight loss/healthier appearance, it’s a huge win for me and lets me know that the internal struggle is being noticed.

I can relate to Jeannie–her personal victory was finishing a marathon, mine was finishing a half marathon. It was such an overwhelming feeling crossing the finish line–one that has made me want to train to do more half marathons (I am running in 2 this year!). Also, her comment on exercising for her health and not necessarily to lose weight is also something I can relate to. I will never be a size 6 (or maybe even an 8!), but that is okay because exercise helps keep me heatlhy!

I related to Kristi. I look forward to the day when I can wear a swimsuit in public and not have to use my arms and other things such as a beach towel to cover parts of my body. I also liked that she said she liked when things were planned in her life, things such as what time the bus was going to be there. I am one who likes plans and organization. Amber

I related to Courtney. I am older than most readers of Kristen site but I read it with my daugter. I can’t do much of anything any more with my age, but I always like to hear someone can tell if I have lost weight. I am trying to help my daughter stayed focused now since it is easier to lose weight the younger you are. I wish I would have done it way back then and kept it off instead of losing and gaining it over and over again.
