I Survived Jillian

As I mentioned yesterday, I was debating on what type of workout to get in yesterday. I finally settled on my Zumba’s Cardio Party (which is easily my favorite cardio dvd). After I was done with that I made myself complete level one of The 30 Day Shred. I wasn’t worried about the actual workout but was concerned about how I would recover. After my mistake last week, I wanted to make sure that I could get to the Y today.
I am happy to report that this morning I had minimal soreness. Nothing drastic. No pain like I had last week. So I laced up my running shoes planning on getting in a good run this morning at the Y.
Well that didn’t happen. I got to the Y and ALL treadmills were full. They were full the entire time I was at the Y. So I hopped on an elliptical machine and cranked out 3 miles at a faster pace with more tension. I feel good. Glad that I got in that workout.
I have out of town company coming to stay with us in the next several days. I have already warned my friend that we will be working out and she needs to bring her gym shoes. I am going to make several of my favorite recipes for her including Tomato Basil Soup & Popcorn Chicken. Just reminding myself that company is not a reason to get off of track.

Go Kristen!!! I’m with you…I LOVE my Zumba DVD’s, but I know I NEED to be doing other things than Cardio to get this poor 51 year old body in shape, so Jillian is the chosen one…you can’t argue her results or her resolve to help you get where you want to go. So tonight, before we head out for dinner, I will be doing the level 2 of her 30 day shred…here’s hoping it won’t kill me! LOL! And I actually sat through and looked at the first 1/2 of the level routine…that one MIGHT kill me, so it’ll take another couple of weeks for me to work my way up to that one, but tonight, Tuesdays with Jillian!

I must be totally stupid. I ordered 2 dvd’s from Zumba after I read your e-mail about how it was a great work out, somewhere I didn’t read the dvd’s come with no instructions just music. How are you suppose to learn the moves to the dvd’s?
