Well, as Molly posted, I was not able to get in to the race field for the Rock & Roll Half Marathon in Las Vegas. I was truly excited. I had mentally prepared to the point that I had no doubt that I would sign up and didn’t even consider the possibility that the race field would be full when we arrived in Las Vegas on Saturday morning.
The degree of disappointed that I felt when I saw that sign declaring the race field full was surprising. I was so upset. Chris could even see how upset that I was and I know that he felt bad that I didn’t get in. I was so sure that there would be spaces left when we got there that I didn’t even take my Turbo Jam dvds that I had planned on taking with me. I had mentally prepared to run the race to the point that I forgot to even have a back up plan.
I am glad that I tried even though I didn’t get in. If anything I am proud of myself for even considering running without full preperation. Maybe next time. Now I am off to try out a new Jillian Michael’s workout dvd that I purchased.
