What is Your Favorite Cardio DVDs?
Filed under Day to Day by kristen at 10:28 am on Nov 30 2009
OK. I just finished my Turbo Jam Cardio Party #2 for the day. I really enjoy these. They help so much on days that getting to the Y is just not possible. I have several Biggest Loser dvds that are great for strength training.
I can feel myself starting to get restless with the repetition. So I thought I would ask you. What is your favorite cardio workout dvd. I like to get my heart pumping.
Anyone have the Zumba dvds from www.Zumba.com? I haven’t been able to find any feedback on those.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the Zumba DVD’s!!! They were such a big part of my exercise regimen in losing my weight (55 pounds!) and now I go to live classes to Zumba when I can…I still pull the DVD’s out once a week at least for a good cardio workout! The Cardio one is AWESOME, and the tone and stretch one is mis-named…you will sweat just as much (if not more!) as you do with the Cardio Party! LOL! There are two added bonuses for buying the DVD’s…the first is the instructional DVD for those who have never done the dance moves before…it “walks” you through (HA! My head was sweating the first time I did the instructional DVD!) the moves so you’ll know how to do them when you get to the other two. The Second bonus is their abs workout. There are just those days I don’t feel like getting up early to go out for a walk, but I get together with Beto and the gang to do the 20 minute ab workout and maybe do a 10 minute cardio blast afterwards to bump up my metabolism. I will have to say that my abs are finally starting to get a bit more sculpted because of Zumba moves!
So if you haven’t purchased these, DO!!! You’ll be glad you did!

Cindy,
Thanks so much for the feedback. I wondered if you had the dvds from the actual zumba site. I have put it on my Christmas list. Thanks for the feedback.

Kristen,
I did get them from the Zumba website. They have them so that you can do the installment payment plan as well…that’s how I did it, and when you do it that way you get the Zumba sticks (think marraccas with one pound weights in them!) thrown in for good measure! Worth it in my book!

Thanks Cindy! Hopefully I have been good this year and Santa will bring the dvds to me.
If not, then I will be buying them for myself.

There are other cardio dvds in the Turbo Jam series that you can try. I also like Billy Blanks Tae Bo because I tend to like the kickboxing inspired cardio dvds.

I have all the Turbo Jam DVD’s and love them. I just finished a round of Insanity and it was HARD! I use all of the Beachbody workouts and loved them so much I started coaching for BB! I can answer any questions you might have about any of the programs. I haven’t tried any of the newer Zumba DVD’s but I do have the original ones and really liked them.
