Special K Protein Bars

My friend Molly introduced me to the Special K Protein Bars. She was telling me that was her regular breakfast most mornings. I wondered what could be so good about these bars that she would want to eat them every morning. So finally I remembered to look for them when I was at the store. You will find these bars in the health-food/protein bar section of the store many times located close to the pharmacy. So don’t go looking in the breakfast bar section of your store or you most likely won’t find them.
This is the double chocolate flavor. The first thing that impressed me was the size of the bar. They are a nice decent size and I didn’t feel like I was being deprived of anything. I really liked the nice chocolate flavor. There is a rice-cereal middle and a chocolate coating. They aren’t overly sweet but were nice with a cup of coffee. There are 6 bars in the box. Depending on where I buy them, the price can range from a little under $5 to almost $7. I have bought these at Walmart, Meijer & Target. Target even had them on sale a few weeks ago.
Nutritional information for one bar: 180 calories, 4.5 grams of fat, 5 grams fiber. The thing that I love even more is 10 grams of protein. I can eat one of these bars for breakfast and not be hungry until lunch many days. These bars really keep me full and satisfied.
The Special K Protein bars are by far one of my new favorite bars and they will be on my shopping list for many weeks to come. Great job Special K!

I eat the chocolate peanut butter ones…….they are so good that I’ve been known to eat one for dessert every once in a while!!!
