If you decide to run the mini in Denver, remember it will be harder because of the altitude. The oxygen is less there so it will be harder to feel like you can get your breathe.
Congratulations on your success!

Good for you for getting back with it! The last few years after the Indy Mini I would completely drop off from a consistent exercise regimen struggling to get maybe one or two runs in a week and even those were of poor quality and then in the fall/winter I would start training again. This year I really want to try to stay up with it, but I'm going to have to sign up for another race--I need to have something that will keep me on a plan. Last week I got a total of 15 miles as kind of a "recovery week" and then this past Monday night I ran 12.5 miles and felt pretty good. I think for me being over 40 the key is going to be to incorporate some x-training and weights (which I don't do, but know I should!). Do you do weights/strength training?

Christine-That is awesome. I agree that sometimes we just have to force ourselves. Very early mornings can be challenging. I am trying to figure out how to get my runs in once summer starts. I am considering going for my run before my husband goes to work. So that means EARLY. We shall see.

Keep up the great work!

I try to walk at least 4 miles every day. I do an interval walk/jog which I love. I just wish it could do more for my belly. When I get home from work I am tired but I force myself. I could probably do a 1 mile walk/jog early AM but it is tough to get up do the workout and then go to work. I think I will give it a shot though. Congrats on back to running. Take it easy! I am a lifetime member of WW but gained some back. I have ten pounds to go to reach goal again.
