Shoutin’ from the Rooftop

I feel like I have abandoned everyone lately and that wasn’t my intention.  Life has just been crazy for the past six weeks. Chris & I just got home from a short 4 day trip. I won’t get in to details but the trip didn’t go as planned. We went with two other couples. One of our friends had planned the trip and the friend ended up in the ER/hospital for the last three days of our trip. And while we were gone, Megan was home with the stomach flu. My poor sister took care of the girls for the majority of the trip with some help from my Mom and Chris’ family. It was hard as a mom to be on the other side of the country knowing your baby was home sick.

I am trying to get back in the routine. Hoping that life doesn’t hit us upside the head anymore. I got my first run in last night. Not very good. I did go to the Y this morning and got in four miles on the elliptical. I also have a challenge that I started this morning with a friend. We have even placed a prize on this challenge. I hate to lose so hopefully that will be good motivation.

I am working on my grocery list and am going to try to make some new recipes. I have at least one idea floating around in my head.

Thanks for patience. Hopefully life will return to some kind  of normal.
