Hanging In There

Filed under Journal by at 5:23 pm on Jan 22 2009

Thank you for every one’s note and emails. I am sorry that it is taking me so long to get back to the site. It looks like it is going to be a few more days.

On a somewhat good note, Sydney seems to be doing some better. She still has a lot of itching which is frustrating to her obviously. But thankfully she hasn’t had any new hives start.

Our well pump was fixed on Tuesday so we can now flush our toilets. What a simple blessing. On a bad note, we found out that there was a mistake made. Long story short, the earliest we will likely have water is Tuesday. ::::sigh:::: I will admit that all of this junk is getting exhausting.

Yesterday, I attempted my first run. Well….. It wasn’t good. I had only planned on running a mile. Ha! I couldn’t run 1/4 a mile. So I finished and walked the rest and stopped at a mile. This morning, I needed to work off all of my frustration and junk from the past 2 weeks or so. So I went to the Y. I got three miles on the elliptical. No problem at all. Too bad the mini marathon isn’t on the elliptical. :-)

So, right now I am hanging in there. My scales showed that I am down some which is good. Making good food choices are somewhat challenging.  I will try to check back in soon.

Poor Kristen!! When it rains it pours!! Oh, I guess in your case, not so much—without water!! LOL!! Sorry–it was too hard to pass up!! Keep your chin up, girl!! You need to take it easy for yourself, too. I’m not sure what surgery you just had but you need to take a breather to make sure your health doesn’t suffer. A little rest now can really help in the long run. Don’t wear yourself out with the run. You’ll get back on track soon. One step at a time. Know that we are all here for you and if you need anything let us know. Your in my prayers.
