My Interesting Workout

Today was my scheduled workout on the elliptical machine at the YMCA. Man, would I love to have one of my own elliptical in my house. I told Chris, if and when we move and get our basement that we have dreamt about, I will be getting an elliptical machine. Anyway, I digress.
So I got to the Y. I was excited because I had loaded some “new” music to my iPod. Once I got to the Y, I bent over to retie my shoes. Then I saw it. I had put on two different tennis shoes. I started laughing. I know that everyone around me must have thought I was losing it. I had one of my regular shoes on and one of my running shoes. I couldn’t believe it. Oh well, onward.
My plan was to get in at least four miles. Once I got going, I figured that I would see how far I could go with my time constraints. I got in five miles. I felt really good when I was done. I was tickled with my average mph. 11 mph average for 5 miles. I wish I could do a half marathon on an elliptical instead of running it. lol. Or at least I wish I was running an 11mph.
Tomorrow I am going to try to push myself. I would love to get in 6.5 to 7 miles in on the elliptical and then run on Thursday.
What are your plans to get in some exercise in the next few days?

Maybe 2 different kinds of shoes is a good thing. Look at how great you did. Keep up the hard work!

One time I put on a boot and a tennis shoe while getting dressed in the dark and running to catch the bus for school. I did not even notice anything was wrong until I in school.
