I Took the Plunge
Filed under Confession,Day to Day by kristen at 7:42 pm on Oct 28 2008
OK. I did it. I cannot believe that I did it. I just signed up for the Indianapolis Mini Marathon. This is something that I have wnated to do for several years. I still am in shock that I did it. So I will be looking for a training program that I can start following. I think that this will be an interesting journey. I will never know if I can do it unless I try. So I will be trying.
On a different note, I have so much stuff to post. There have been a few techinical issues that have been slowing me down. Those problems have been fixed so watch out. I made an awesome dinner tonight. It was so yummy that I can’t wait to share the recipe. My plan is to get it posted in the morning. I also have a ton of new food reviews. So you will be hearing a lot of me. LOL.
OK. That is all for tonight. I am beat and need some down time. Be on the look-out for the great new recipes. Yummy!

YIPPEE!!!!! I’m proud of you!! That’s all you needed was the little “I think I can” push!!! You know you can do it. Only think positive thoughts!!! Imagine and picture yourself finishing the race!! How are you going to feel when you cross that finish line??? How proud of yourself are you going to be when you make that first step?
I’ll be here rooting you on!!!
Congrats!

Wow! I thought you might take the plunge…I am proud of you!! I can’t wait to hear about the training too! I have been interval training (walking/running) at the Y, and I am getting hooked on it. It’s a great calorie burner too. Go you!!

I walked in the 1/2 marathon here in TN earlier this month.
A friend who recently joined WW wanted me to walk with her.
I have lost 58 lbs through WW and became a LIFER in July, so this was another personal goal for me.
Next year our goal is to beat our time by 10 minutes.

You should read Dawn Dais’ Book “The Non-Runners Marathon Guide for Women” She has great info on fuel, gear, and how to train for either a half or full marathon! And she does it was humor, which is important. I read it before my first half, and found it helpful and fun.
Good luck!! I’ll be tracking your progress!
