Day Five: Some Temptations

Filed under Day to Day by at 6:09 am on Aug 07 2008

I survived day five. It was challenge. I ate a little more than I was hoping. But my grandparents had invited us to their house for dinner. My Grandma is an awesome cook. Everything I know about cooking, I have learned from my Grandma & my Mom. My Grandma has always lived on a farm. She is known for cooking. She makes the best yeast rolls around. People at church “fight” over her cinnamon rolls. Her fried chicken is my favorite. So I saved as many points as I could for our dinner. I knew that I would just eat small servings and try not to worry about it. I made sure that I ate more salad. Who can turn down a salad with fresh peppers and tomatoes straight from the garden? It was nice to spend some time with two of our favorite people.

I have been so busy working on transferring posts to the new site that I don’t even have time to snack. It has been very interesting to read posts as I move them to the new site. It has been encouraging to see my determination throughout the journey so far. I have all of the recipes and 1/2 of the blog moved over. Then I will tackle the food reviews. There will not be pictures on past food reviews. Roni & I cannot figure a way to get them moved over. So as I buy those products again I will post an updated picture.

Keep tracking those points!
