Awesome New Salad Dressing

Filed under Food by kristen at 6:35 am on Jul 30 2008

I had heard about this new line of salad dressing by Bolthouse  Farms. They are made with yogurt and I have been on the lookout for some time. Finally I hit the jackpot. I found these at Meijer in the refrigerated section close to the mushrooms & fresh fruit juices in the produce department.

They have six flavors: classic ranch, chunky blue cheese, Caesar parmigiana, thousand island, honey mustard, & classic coleslaw.

I was so pleased with the taste of the ranch. It tastes fresh and not chemically at all. It has no Trans Fat, No preservatives or MSG, no artificial colors, flavors or added sugars. It tastes like a salad dressing you would get at a restauant. It was so resh tasting!  You can tell that there aren’t a  bunch of chemicals in this because the bottle has a use by date that is about six weeks away. I will be testing out the other flavors. my husband thought that it tasted good. It doesn’t have the bitter taste like some diet or low-fat ranch dressings have. Chris loves blue cheese salad dressing so I will be buying that next. Unfortunately they were out of it yesterday.

Check out their website. www.bolthouse.com Do not fear if you use their store locator function and it produces no results. It shows that there are no stores within 50 miles of my zip code. But I have the ranch in my little hands.

Great find! Will definitely be buying this again. Sorry to the other salad dressing. They are out of here.

Yum! I love salads… but you have to have a good dressing or it’s just a load of veggies! :) This one sounds great! How are the nutrionals for these dressings? I imagine if they’re yogurt based they should be lighter. Thanks for the food find!

Thanks Jennifer for pointing that out. OOPS! For the Ranch the NI for two tablespoons is 80 calories, 7.5 grams fat, 0 fiber. Just today I bought the Chunky Blue Cheese for my husband. NI for 2 tablespoons is 70 calories, 6.5 grams fat, 0 fiber. I have not found the Honey Mustard or Thousand Island.
