Some New Bars

This is the first “new” bar that I recently discovered. I do not know how long they have been on the market. I decided to purchase the variety box so I could try three. In my box of 8, I received 4 peanut butter, 2 chocolate & 2 cinnamon raisin. Each bar has 140 calories, 5 grams of fat, & 3 grams of fiber. Plus there are 10 grams of protein in each bar. I tried the peanut butter one first. It kind of reminds me of those treats you make with cornflakes & peanut butter. The texture isn’t the same but it is a similiar taste. I tried the chocolate second. The chocolate wasn’t bad but I wasn’t jumping up and down with excitement. Last but definitely not least, I tried the cinnamon raisin. I didn’t think this had a strong raisin taste. But it had a nice cinnamon & brown sugar flavor. This might have been my favorite. It was yummy. The peanut butter & cinnamon raisin will go on my food rotation. I found these at Super Walmart. (I did see them today at Meijer)
I had read about these new bars from Nabisco and a friend told me how much she liked them. Well, I am not impressed. I thought they had no taste at all. When I see something that says chocolate delight, I must have high expectations. I didn’t think it tasted at all like chocolate or graham cracker. The base was more of a soft cookie base that didn’t have any flavor. I won’t be buying these again! NI for one bar is 100/3.5/3 They also have a cheesecake variety. I might give those a try. Or maybe my tastebuds are just off but these did nothing for me. I am such a chocolaholic that I was really surprised. (I found these at the Muncie Meijer with all of the breakfast bars)
