You Won’t Believe It!

My first food review was a pleasant surprise. Now if you know my husband, you are sworn to secrecy. My sister, Kerri, recommend this product from MorningStar Farms. As you can probably tell by my past few reviews, I am very impressed with this company’s products. These are their Original Chik’n Tenders. NI for two tender is 190/7/3. I was very scared to try these for some reason. My girls both wanted chicken nuggets so I thought I would do a test. I wanted to see if they would notice anything or refuse to eat them. It just so happened that I was fixing these one night when we were in a hurry and my husband was home. ::giggle::: The girls ate them and didn’t blink. OK. I was trying not to laugh. I ate one and it was very tasty. It surprised me how it was even kind of stringy like “real chicken”. How do they do that???? Well, there was one tender left & I thought I would see if my darling husband wanted one. Sure enough. He ate it and told me that it was good. I had to walk out of the room so I wouldn’t laugh. I still haven’t told him. Not sure that I will. The box is in plain view in our freezer. He never even questioned me if it was chicken.

These are about the size of McDonald’s chicken strips. Two strips were plenty with some veggies on the side. I will buy these again. I think they would be awesome on top of a salad. I bought this at Meijer. I could not find these at our north Walmart

Nabisco has done it again with a great new 100 calorie pack. This is Mister Salty Milk Chocolate Covered Pretzels. If I had to guess, I would say there are 15-20 pretzels in each bag. Now, if you are having a major chocolate craving, I am not sure these would do the trick. There is not nearly as much chocolate as the Hershey Chocolate Covered Pretzels that I mentioned in a review some time back. BUT you get many more pretzels for the points. NI for one package is 100/3.5/0

I found these at Walmart

Kraft has come out with a new product called Bagel-fuls. I had a coupon so I decided to snag a box. They are in the freezer section. I bought mine at Walmart. There are four bagel “sticks” filled with original cream cheese. Kraft has several varieties including: origina, strawberry creem cheese, cinnamon cream cheese, whole grain bagel & chive cream cheese. NI for one bagel is 200/5/2  I got one out to fix for Chris one morning before work. After looking at the directions, it said to store in refrigerator which I thought was kind of weird since they came frozen. But they still taste find if you fix it straight from the freezer. It just takes a little longer in the microwave. We do not have a wide-slot toaster so I wasn’t able to toast his. I only got one taste of one (because Chris ate all four so it was obvious that he liked them). It had a nice taste. Not huge in size. I don’t know if I would spend that many points but it would be a nice occasional treat especially if you were craving a good bagel.

Finally another product that isn’t new but I finally got around to buying them. I love Fig Newtons. So I decided to buy a box of the strawberry Mini Fig Newtons. There are 6 packages in the box. I felt like there was a good amount in each bag. NI 130/3/2  There is nothing special about these exept they are already portioned out for you. Good as always and a nice treat. Added bonus is that they are baked with 100% Whole Grain. I bought these at Meijer.
