No Name Breakfast

OK. I know plain silly. But I cannot come up with a name for this breakfast. I had this creation this morning. I had to immediately tell some people about it. Several months ago, I had received an email with this idea. (Sorry, I cannot find who suggested this. If it was you, please let me know so I can give you credit) Anyway, I decided this morning that I was going to make it. One reason I really liked this is because I don’t have anything similar in taste.
Ingredients:
1 serving of steel cut oatmeal
salt & pepper
butter-flavored baking spray
1 egg.
water
Directions: First, you need to cook the steel cut oatmeal according to the package directions. Once it is cooked, form in to a patty. In a non-stick skillet, spray the baking spray & “fry” your oatmeal patty until browned. Salt & pepper both sides. Remove from skillet when done.
Cook the egg to over-easy. Remove from skillet and place on top of oatmeal patty. Enjoy!
Note: Next time, I am going to make the oatmeal patty before hand so it can firm up some. Mine kind of broke apart but it still tasted yummy. I think one of the keys is the butter-flavored baking spray. It makes the oatmeal taste like of like grits. Normally I would not eat this high point breakfast but it was super yummy! I will be making this again without a doubt. Maybe even tomorrow.
