Three Cheese Noodle Bake

Filed under Dinner by at 7:53 am on Feb 07 2008

I found this recipe on the WW bulletin board. I was excited to try it. I am very happy with how it turned out. I thought the portion size was very nice. It was simple to make and made a huge casserole.

Three Cheese Noodle Bake

10 ounces lean ground beef, cooked & drained

26 ounce jar of marinara sauce

12 ounces whole wheat pasta, cooked & drained

1 cup fat free cottage cheese

4 ounces fat free cream cheese

1/2 cup reduced fat sour cream

3 ounces part-skim mozzarella.

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Combine browned ground beef, marinara sauce, & cooked pasta. Combine cottage cheese, sour cream, & cream cheese. In a 9×13 casserole dish, layer half of the pasta & meat mixture. Top with all of the cheese mixture. Spread remaining pasta & meat mixture on top. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until hot & bubbly. Six Servings, Nutritional Information for 1 serving: 320/10/4

This recipe is another good example of why you need to make sure to refigure points. Depending on what brand of pasta & marinara that you use, your points could vary.
