Are you hungry enough to eat……..

an apple? I read that great question some time ago and loved it. It is a question that I ask myself when I am really focused in and it helps me.Yesterday was an unusual day since we were out of town for most of it. My lunch choice wasn’t the best but I came home and looked up the points for everything and wrote them down. So I decided that I wouldn’t eat again until I was hungry.I wouldn’t eat at supper if I wasn’t hungry. (what a concept!) We had ate lunch about noon. At that point, I had no daily points left. Yikes! So I knew I had to be determined to wait until I was truly hungry. I got in 2 miles on my treadmill and burnt 210 calories. Three days is a row. (This might be a record for me)
About 7pm I started to get hungry. I ate a 1 point piece of light string cheese. Drank a bunch of water and waited. Still hungry. Ate 1 point cup of Fiber One’s new yogurt. Drank a bunch more water and waited. About 8:30, my stomach was growling & I knew this was a dangerous time for me. I really wanted some popcorn. (which wouldn’t have been a bad choice) but I thought I needed to wait. Still hungry. So I asked myself “Am I hungry enough to eat an apple?” The answer was yes. So I ate it. Drank a bunch more water.
Yesterday when we were in Indianapolis, we made a trip to Wild Oats. I had never been there. I found a few things that I am excited to try. Then we made a quick stop at Trader Joe’s. I knew what I was looking for so that didn’t take much time. On the way home, my Mom & I stopped at the Payless in Anderson. We wanted more of the WW individual cream cheese portions. When I ran in, I decided to make a fast detour to where I had saw the Funky Monkey snacks several weeks ago. I found 7 bags! I bought them all. I was so happy. I let my mom try the Jivealime on the way home. I think she know realizes that I am not crazy. Funky Monkey is that good! She was surprised at how they are not chewy but crispy & crunchy. It is part of the freeze-drying process. They are not like normal dried fruit. So if you can’t find them, ask your store to start carrying them. You won’t be sorry! The Jivealime & the Carnival Mix are out of this world. The other two are great also!
Several of you had posted questions on the blog. APs stand for Activity Poitns. HU’s are another way to say points. (Trying to keep myself out of trouble)
I am glad so many of you are joining me on the challenge. Tell your other WW buddies about it. It isn’t too late. We aren’t officially starting until Friday!
I hope that you each have a great day! Track those points! If you eat it, write it.
