Two Thumbs Up & A Boo

It is amazing to me the number of new food finds I am finding at the stores.

I had this new Lean Cuisine Flat Bread today for lunch. It was very filling and yummy. I will definitely try the other varieties that they offer. I had the Pesto Chicken for 6 points. It had grilled white chicken with sun-dried tomatoes, red peppers in a creamy pesto sauce.

The second find has me really excited after I created the “Taste of Summer Salad”. This is a BBQ sauce by KC Masterpiece which is my personal favorite. This is called “Low Calorie Classic Blend”. for 2 Tablespoons the NI is 10/0/0. WHOHOO!!!! So doing our WW math, you can have 6 tablespoons for 0 points! I am so excited to have the salad again later this week. Just tasting it plain I cannot tell any difference except it might not be as thick but it is hard to say for sure.

This third “new” find (not sure how long this has been around) gets a thumbs down from me. At first I was super excited about this product. The taste was great, the points were awesome. But upon further investigation, it proved that things did not appear to be as good. This is a perfect example that we must always carefully read all nutritional labels.

The nutritional value is 130/7/4 so that would be 2 points. This tastes just like a Mr Nutty bar. So for two points I was doing a happy dance. When I looked at the nutritional information againĀ after this tasty treat, I gasped in horro and complete frustration. Serving size “1 wafer” What???? Why would you package TWO wafers in one clear plastic wrap if only 1 is a serving. So as they are packaged they are 5 points for the two wafers!!! In my opinion that is a little too sneaky for me! Won’t be buying the peanut butter wafers again. Shame on you Mrs. Freshley’s
