I had mentioned on Friday that I was going to make a trip to Anderson to see what a different grocery store chain might offer that I couldn’t find in Muncie. Well, it was worth the trip. I found several “new” foods. Several are new to the market and several I just am getting around to trying.
This is a brand new cereal from Fiber One called “Caramel Delight”. It is so yummy. When I let Sydney try it when we got home, her comment was: “It tastes like a waffle with syrup.”. Pretty good description. I am not a fan of sweet cereal. I am going to bag this up in to 1/2 c servings and eat it as a snack. Here is another example of the great WW math. For 1 cup this is 3 points. BUT for 1/2 cup it is only 1 point. There are 9 grams of fiber per serving. If you are in Muncie & find this cereal, would you please let me know where you find it. I haven’t check Walmart yet. I do know that this was just released on 12/31/07. So it should be hitting our shelves soon!
OK. Don’t laugh at the name of this company. Funky Monkey! I had heard about this but wasn’t going to try to hunt it down. I am SO glad that I found this. So yummy! Sorry that the jivealime is ripped open. Sydney & I tried it. I can’t keep her out of it. This is another good example of trying something before you leave the parking lot IF you live a long distance from the store. Funky Monkey has four varieties. The store that I was at only had three. The Jivealime is awesome. This is a freeze-dried fruit. The jivealime is a pineapple with lime juice. It has a nice tart taste with the sweet taste of the pineapple. The 1 ounce bag is only 2 points. It is kind of like a chip but sweet like a fruit. When you check out Funky Monkey’s website, make sure to have your volume turned up. I was doing a little happy dance in the store when I found the new line of WW cheeses. I love cream cheese but again have a portion control probem. I just want to always use more than 1 serving so for me, this is a perfect product. There are 8 little tubs of cream cheese inside the box. Each tub is only 1 point. Tastes great. I used it Saturday morning on my Western Alternative Cinnamon bagel. It was the perfect amount! Keep your eyes open for this! They also have string cheese, shredded cheddar & mozz.
