Love Match Made in the Kitchen

In this food review, I am going to coverĀ four of my favorite products. When combined in to one item, it is a match that can’t be beat.

1) Eggbeaters- If you haven’t felt brave enough to try eggbeaters, you need to take the plunge now. These are great. They are 99% real eggs. They just have taken out the bad fat and cholesterol. You can have 1/4 c. of eggbeater for 1 point vs. a regular egg for 2 points. Plus eggbeaters come in all sorts of yummy versions (southwestern, cheese & chive, etc.) So this is the first member of the awesome cast.

2) I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter Spray- This is a staple in our kitchen. I have cut out a lot of the spreadable “butters” in my cooking. So you need this for your bagel.

3) Western Alternative Bagel-Onion- These are the best thingĀ I have found in Muncie. We are lucky that we can buy these locally and don’t have to mail order them. They are only 1 point for a normal size bagel. They don’t taste like cardboard. There are several varieties but this is by far my favorite.

4) 2% Kraft Singles- Yummo! The American, Pepperjack, & Swiss are a must-have for me. 1 point a piece & you can’t tell any difference between these & the “real” thing. I just recently discovered the Pepperjack thanks to Dianna! They have some definite kick.

So here is how you make the yummy creation. Heat up your saute pan & spray with some Pam. Scramble your one serving of eggbeater. I usually throw in some pepper, onion powder & garlic powder. While I am cooking that, I split & toast the bagel. When the bagel comes out, I spritz it lightly with the ICBINB spray. When the egg is done, you put the egg on top of one half of the bagel, top with one piece of cheese. Voila! 3 point breakfast that is out of this world. Tastes as good as McDonald’s sandwiches but is better for us! (If you have the points available, this is also great with a few slices of Deli Select’s ham or turkey)

Enjoy!
